For nearly 20 years, Loyola Law School has celebrated the life and legacy of Johnnie Cochran Jr., one of the school's most distinguished alumni, by presenting the Johnnie Cochran Public Service Award to a well-deserving individual who embodies the qualities of Loyola alumnus Johnnie L. Cochran Jr. '62, a trailblazer, innovator, master attorney and mentor. This year, the reception will take place on October 16, 2025, and will be preceded by a panel discussion of a current issue that intersects with Mr. Cochran’s dedication to social justice.
